Here’s the light look and casual feel of a trendy embroidered drawstring bag that is also sustainable!
A unique design, the base is made in jute which gives it a firm base. The upper part is made of woven ikat fabric which makes the bag flexible and light. The bag is lined with a complementary color ikat that highlights the bag with a contrasting color border, visible on the top.
We embroider the jute in our trademark Kantha embroidery, in highlight colors of the ethnic fabrics.
Choose from a rich red-blue with gray or a smart black-white with brown combination.
Wooden beads at the top and bottom help you easily draw the string open or close. Two loops on either side of the bag bottom in the lining fabric complements the main colors, gives it an interesting look as well as helps guide and hold the string in place. The lining is unattached to the bottom, making it easy to dust out the bag if needed.
Jute, a natural and strong plant fiber is native to east India as is Kantha embroidery. Ohrna patronizes jute because it is organic, biodegradable and naturally decomposable. Ikat weaves are from the southeast.
And we package all our products in up-cycled saris!
