Jute is a natural and strong plant fiber, native to east India as is Kantha embroidery. Ohrna patronizes jute because it is a natural plant fiber, biodegradable, naturally decomposable and strong and durable. The expired fiber is also recyclable. And our jute is lined with fabric and not plastic!
Ikkat weaves and Tie dye Bandhni fabrics are made in the village homes of our fabric partners. And in keeping with our organic philosophy, we package all our products in up-cycled saris.
